Today, the United States is stronger and better positioned to seize theopportunities of a still new century and safeguard our interests against therisks of an insecure world. The President’s new National SecurityStrategy provides a vision and strategy for advancing the nation’sinterests, universal values, and a rules-based international order through strongand sustainable American leadership. The strategy sets out the principles andpriorities thatdescribe how America will lead the world toward greater peaceand a new prosperity.

今天，美國更加強大，所處的形勢更加有利，可以更好的把握仍然處于新世紀時代的各種機會，捍衛我們的國家利益，抵御這個不安全世界中的各種風險?？偨y的《國家安全戰略》為利用美國強有力、可持續的領導地位促進國家利益、普世價值、基于原則的國際秩序提供了一個愿景和戰略。該戰略為美國領導世界走向更加和平、更加繁榮設定了原則和優先事項。并針對安全、繁榮、價值觀和國際秩序這四個主要方面進行了闡述。

We will leadwith purpose, guided by our enduring national interests and values andcommitted to advancing a balanced portfolio of priorities worthy of a greatpower.

我們經通過清晰的目的實現領導，將以我們持久國家利益和價值為指導，致力于維持優先事項的平衡組合，投入我們的偉大力量；

We will leadwith strength, harnessing a resurgent economy, increased energy security,an unrivaled military, and the talent and diversity of the American people.

We will advance the security of the United States, itscitizens, and U.S. allies and partners by:

Maintaining anational defense that is the best trained, equipped, and led force in the worldwhile honoring our promises to service members, veterans, and their families.

Working withCongress to end the draconian cuts imposed by sequestration that threaten theeffectiveness of our military and other instruments of power.

Reinforcing ourhomeland security to keep the American people safe from terrorist attacks andnatural hazards while strengthening our national resilience.
